Interrail Diary - Prague

Our second stop was the beautiful Prague, the journey from Berlin to Prague was quite stressful to say the least. We gave ourselves a few hours to get to the train station in Berlin however because of a few reasons, buses not running, a street carnival closing all the roads and a lot of traffic we made the train in the last 10 seconds. This was probably the most stressful part of the whole trip but thankfully we made the train and we were on our way!

I wasn’t sure what to expect of Prague, but the difference to Berlin was crazy, firstly the size, in Prague you can get everywhere on foot in comparison to Berlin which was such a big city. This meant we got to explore around the old town and just wander down all of the little streets. Prague was such a pretty city, the architecture and everything about is was like another little world. We visited all of the main sights, Prague Castle, Cathedral, Charles Bridge, the Old Town, and The Lesser Quarter. Some off the track places I would recommend are, Letna Park, this is on the opposite side to the Charles Bridge, if you climb to the top of the park you have amazing views over Prague, it's nice to go and relax here after a hot day walking around the city! The Lesser Quarter is a nice little area, here there are some traditional bars you can chill in the afternoon. Another favourite of mine was sitting on the edge of the river near the Charles Bridge, take a picnic and relax! I can’t wait to visit Prague again, I’ve heard it’s amazing in the winter time.
